We are delighted to share that our paper titled “Modelling Teacher Motivation with Fuzzy Cognitive Maps: A Pilot Study on Serbian Data” received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE 23rd Jubilee International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY 2025), held in Subotica, Serbia, from September 25–27, 2025.
SISY is a prestigious IEEE international conference organized by Óbuda University and Subotica Tech – College of Applied Sciences, bringing together researchers, educators, and professionals in the fields of intelligent systems, informatics, robotics, and AI.
Our paper, authored by Judit Szügyi, Zoltán Papp, and Márta Takács, was developed within the Erasmus+ VETAssIst project. Using Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) and the FCM Expert software, the study modeled motivational factors influencing Serbian VET teachers’ adoption of AI. The model was based on interviews and surveys with educators from vocational schools in Serbia.
