We are proud to share that our contributions from the Schola 2025 conference (December) have just been published! 🎉
🔍 The Slovak team presented two research papers exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence in vocational education and training (VET):
👉 Pondelíková, I. & Welnitzová, K. examined Slovak VET teachers’ experiences with AI through a large-scale survey (208 respondents) and 38 in-depth interviews. Their findings reveal significant gaps in AI literacy, digital skills, and institutional readiness. Based on these insights, tailored training sessions were developed, already supporting 78 teachers in integrating AI into lesson planning, assessment, and classroom practice.
👉 Luprichová, J. focused on teachers’ readiness to adopt AI, highlighting differences between AI pioneers and non-pioneers. The study also evaluates 37 AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Canva, Copilot, Padlet, Miro), identifying both their pedagogical potential and ongoing challenges such as data privacy and limited infrastructure. A key outcome is the development of a modular training programme to be piloted in autumn 2025.
💡 Together, these studies underline a crucial message:
AI integration in education requires not only tools, but also systematic support, targeted training, and critical reflection.
