From 2 to 5 December 2025, Assoc. Prof. Ivana Pondelíková and Assoc. Prof. Katarína Welnitzová participated in the international scientific conference SCHOLA 2025, where they presented the paper From Needs Analysis to Training: Building AI Literacy Among VET Teachers in Slovakia. The conference was also attended by Dr. Jana Luprichová, who presented the results of her research in the paper Curiosity-Driven Change: Evaluating AI Tools and Teacher Preparedness in Slovak VET.
Both contributions build on current research activities conducted at UCM in Trnava and were prepared within the framework of two scientific and educational initiatives:
- KEGA project No. 012UCM-4/2024 Women in Science and Technology – Raising Awareness of Gender Equality among Male and Female Students
- Erasmus+ project VETAssIst – Artificial Intelligence as VET Teacher Assistant (Project No. 2024-1-HU01-KA220-VET-000253387)
Participation in the conference received very positive feedback, supported professional discussion on the use of artificial intelligence in education, and contributed to strengthening existing cooperation with domestic and international partners. At the same time, it enabled the establishment of new contacts that may lead to future joint activities and research outputs.
