On 26 November 2025, the first online workshop focused on the pedagogical use of artificial intelligence (AI) took place within the international project VETAssIst – Artificial Intelligence as a VET Teacher Assistant (Erasmus+ KA220, Project No. 2024-1-HU01-KA220-VET-000253387). The workshop was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Ivana Pondelíková, Assoc. Prof. Katarína Welnitzová, and Dr. Jana Luprichová. Participants received a comprehensive, practice-oriented introduction to the basics of artificial intelligence and meaningful ways to integrate AI into the teaching process. The programme focused on the principles of effective prompting, the generation and handling of textual and visual outputs, as well as the verification of information reliability. Translation tools suitable for both language and vocational subject teachers were also presented. An important part of the workshop included demonstrations of creating worksheets, posters, and presentation materials in Canva, including the use of its AI-powered features. The event attracted considerable interest from participants and represented a significant step toward developing the digital competencies of vocational school teachers.
