About the Project

The project

The project, “VETAssIst – Artificial Intelligence as VET Teacher Assistant” (2024-1-HU01-KA220-VET-000253387), is part of the Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training (VET) initiative. We aim to advance VET by exploring the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a focus on enhancing the daily work of VET teachers.

Our Mission

The VETAssIst project is committed to empowering VET teachers by exploring, evaluating, and implementing AI tools as digital teacher assistants. By doing so, we aim to:

  • Equip educators with AI literacy to navigate and utilise cutting-edge digital technologies.
  • Enhance the quality of education through experimenting with AI-based tools and platforms to increase the efficiency of teaching.
  • Address both the opportunities and challenges posed by AI in education.

What We Do

Our activities focus on:

  • Conducting an evaluation of freely available AI tools for their pedagogical value, exploring also the underlying factors of integrating AI in VET.
  • Developing an open-access e-learning course to improve AI literacy among VET educators.
  • Publishing multilingual resources, including an eBook and video tutorials, to support VET teachers worldwide.
  • Building networks and promoting the adoption of AI in VET through podcasts, workshops, and international national and collaborations.

Partners

VETAssIst brings together a dynamic consortium of institutions from four countries:

Together, we leverage diverse expertise in VET education, digital tools, and AI research to create innovative and impactful resources for the global VET community.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, our vision is to create a sustainable impact in vocational education and training by preparing teachers and students for an AI-driven future.
