The project’s kick-off meeting took place on 27-28 November 2024 in Budapest, bringing together our partners from ITB (German), UCMT (Slovakian) and UNS (Serbian) at BME for their first in-person collaboration.
After brief introductions, the first day was devoted to discussing and finalising the project work plan and reaching agreements on the first tasks and deadlines for each work package. The discussions ensured that all partners were aligned and prepared for the next steps.
On the second day, the morning session included a visit to a Hungarian VET school. Here, BME team member Éva Tóth, who is also a teacher at the school, and Csilla Gál-Berey, the school’s principal, provided insights into Hungarian VET practices and highlighted the school’s remarkable work. This was further demonstrated by two student teams who presented their innovative scientific project work, which truly impressed the attendees.
The meeting concluded back at BME with a focused discussion on project and quality management tasks, setting a strong foundation for the successful execution of the project. Participants joined the BICE – VETAssIst AI in education networking event in the afternoon.
